Watch PA Game Lands Shooting Ranges now require permit! Video PA Game Lands Shooting Ranges now require permit!
May 16, 2012
Most people who want to use one of Pennsylvania's 29 public shooting ranges on state gamelands now need a $30 permit or a current general hunting or furtaking license. The state Game Commission on Friday announced the rules have gone into effect. They were imposed after upgrades to the ranges that include lead remediation, safety barriers and other design improvements. There are exceptions for children under age 16, who may use the ranges for free if they're in the company of an adult with a permit or license. Licensed hunters or permit holders can bring one guest. Permits are available through the Game Commission's website, at agency headquarters in Harrisburg and at its six regional offices.

I don't advocate bootlegging a load but in some situations it's the best option. In this clip we are moving a 14' 9" Auto Press from Plainville, CT to Hamlin, PA. Although we had permits for CT and NY the PA permit hadn't come in yet. The closest truckstop with a scale in PA is at the 17 mile marker on I-84 West where we intended to stop, 36 miles inside PA. We had a bit a tense moment when we came to the Rest Area/Scale in Greentown, PA and found it open. Luckily they were busy with traffic and we were just waved through and made it safely to Hamlin where the load could be weighed and a safe spot for the driver to wait for his PA permit. www.palwatch.org An example of one of the many libels against Israel transmitted by the Palestinian Authority to the Palestinian people. Dr. Jirar Al-Qidwa, Arafat's advisor on Education, and Head of the PA Public Library, explains to students that the Torah and the Talmud view all non-Jews as barbarians or servants to Jews, and permit Jews to commit murder of non-Jews. Transcript: Dr. Jirar Al-Qidwa, Arafat's Advisor on Education and Head of the PA Public Library: "The commandments of their Torah or their Talmud inspire or command that we are Goyim - that is, non-Jews. They view all non-Jews as barbarians or as their servants, void of any human rights, and [one] may destroy them and kill them." [PA TV (Fatah), Mar. 2, 2001]

SINGAPORE: The Workers' Party has welcomed the decision by the People's Association to lift the restriction imposed on the guest list of permit applicants for PA sites leased from the HDB. In a statement, Hougang MP Yaw Shin Leong, who is also Vice-Chairman of Aljunied-Hougang Town Council (AHTC), said that Hougang Town Council, and later AHTC, never placed any restrictions on the guest list of permit applicants. "This is not a `new position' as claimed by the PA, and is self-evident from the presence of PAP grassroots advisors at events held on town council-managed land in Hougang over the last 20 years and in Aljunied GRC after the General Elections," Mr Yaw said. Mr Yaw said two of the incidents cited by the PA took place before August 1, when the Workers' Party took over the town council. He said at the time, the former Managing Agent was solely in charge, and that the open invitation policy remained in place. He added that since it took charge, AHTC has only received two applications from Residents' Committees from Bedok Reservoir Division, and has approved of both of them. In addition, the town council did not receive any other applications prior to August 19. Neither were there calls made by the PA or RCs for enquiries. Mr Yaw also said the joint statement by the HDB and the PA showed that "HDB's decision was indeed precipitated by the General Election results in Aljunied GRC and the desire to secure key sites for PA activities at which grassroots advisors would be ...

To say that this oversize load Grove 80D was troublesome is slightly an understatement. I was first called for an ASAP survey for this load after it had been shut down for running without a permit after hitting two bridges in Hartford CT. The load measure 14' 3" and after submitting the survey and getting the permit back I was asked to get him to the CT/NY line ahead of a bad storm coming in. I got him to the state line safely... but the rest of the trip didn't quite go as planned..... pilotcar.tv

Watch History of Water Pollution in Pennsylvania 1951 Pennsylvania Sanitary Water Board Video History of Water Pollution in Pennsylvania 1951 Pennsylvania Sanitary Water Board
Apr 03, 2011
This is clipped from the film, Waters of the Commonwealth, was prepared by the Pennsylvania Sanitary Water Board in 1951 to carry the story of water pollution control directly to the general public. The film was done during the term of Pennsylvania Governor James Duff who initiated programs to clean up polluted streams, including the highly industrialized Schuylkill River near Philadelphia, which became a model for other polluted rivers around the country. He also tightened anti-pollution laws for mining companies, despite their strong opposition from mining special interests. As Pennsylvania's population increased and its industry developed in latter nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, pollution of the state's waters increased. In 1905 the first water pollution control legislation, the "Purity of Waters Act," was passed. The law made it illegal to discharge untreated sewage to Commonwealth waters without a state permit, and gave the authority to issue sewerage permits. In 1923 the Pennsylvania's Sanitary Water Board was created, ¬¬the first water pollution control agency of its kind in the nation,¬¬ to administer the state's water pollution control program. Many states followed the Pennsylvania example and established similar boards to guide water pollution control efforts at the state level. From the time of its first meeting in 1923 to its final meeting in 1971 there had been many significant Sanitary Water Board accomplishments. Under its orders, regulations and ...

The permit was for 5pm to allow the PA system to be turned on. The person who owned the equipment had started it up and found performers before the 5pm start time. The person who was in control of the permit came over to try and find the person to turn off the equipment. Medic Kym shut the system down and the owner of the system flipped out! It was the last day we ever saw him or his sound system. Just because you come with something to give you still need to follow the law. Taped by Grant Haas, twitter: grantorela
